Working with 49Van doesn’t require specialized skills or complex experience. The qualifications are straightforward:

• Be at least 19 years old.
• Hold a valid Canadian driver’s license or Provincial ID.
• Own a smartphone (iPhone or Android)
• Have at least 1 year of verifiable work experience relevant to the position you’re applying for.
  

49Van service providers operate as independent contractors. To ensure a safe and trustworthy platform, 49Van requires all applicants—without exception—to complete a background check.

As part of the application process, all candidates must consent to a comprehensive background screening and pay a one-time $74.99 Background Check fee. This fee covers a detailed review of your criminal record and driving history. The background screening does not include a credit check.

If the report reveals issues that do not meet 49Van’s safety standards or local regulations, your application may be declined. In such cases, you’ll receive a notice with the option to request a copy of the report.
